Get Hooked On Fishing Aboard The Teal

The Moore family, which owns and operates the Teal in Margate, New Jersey, has a long history in fishing that dates back generations to Capt. Everett Moore who first sailed the original Teal out of Great Kills, New York. Our modern and recently recently renovated vessel is ready to take you directly to the fishing grounds so you can try to catch the big one. Our captain will seek out the fish and our crew will bait your hook, take off the fish and clean it for you at the dock. Bring your own rod or rent one on board for $5.

We’re in search of fluke, flounder, black drum, seabass, bluefish, weakfish, kingfish and more as we explore the back bays of Absecon Island and the Atlantic Ocean.

Open Fishing

Join us for back bay fishing 8:30-noon weekends in April, May and September and every day in June, July and August. Fishing is $35 for adults, $30 for senior citizens and veterans and $25 for children. Rod rentals are $5 each. Enjoy complimentary dockside coffee and WiFi aboard the Teal. Check our open fishing schedule for details and contact us to book your spot on board.

Don’t forget to bring your phone to take a photo with your big catch. Our mates are not only great at cleaning fish and taking care of your rod and tackle but have also become great photographers with the ability to make that fish look even bigger. Don’t believe us – take a look at our Teal Tales and Facebook page.
